Hello! I thought I should formally introduce myself!
I am Amanda! I live in Sunny Southern California with my wonderfully amazing husband, Dan and my 2 sweet littles. Lynden is my almost 2 year old daughter. She is my sunshine everyday. I didn't know how much I could unconditionally love someone with my entire heart until she was born. She is one of the sweetest little people you'll ever meet in your life. She is very shy when she first meets people but once you "win her over" she will have you wrapped around your little finger. She loves to give lots loves and hugs and kisses! She loves on her stuffed animals, pictures in books, her brother and ESPECIALLY her daddy! She is 100% a daddy girl! She LOVES books, it's in her blood, you can most often find her sitting down reading a story. Her first word was "shoes" and I knew she was definitely my daughter- and that I was in trouble!
I had an OB appointment last week and thinking I could handle two small children at the doctor's office by myself I took them with me. We were in the jam packed waiting room with our double stroller, AND it was Ledgers feeding time. He has major acid reflux and right after he finished his bottle while we are waiting (cuz you know how the OB you wait for 9 hours?) he spits up ALL over my left leg. I must have just had this look on my face that I was just ready to burst into tears. I had nothing with me with clean it up except his little bib. Lynden looks at me for a moment and goes into my purse and pulls out a wipe and starts wiping up my leg for me. If that doesn't tell you what a sweetheart she is, nothing will! I love that girl like crazy!
Then we have Ledger! He just turned 3 months old! He was so excited to join our little family he popped into my belly the very first month of trying.. and then came out almost a month early! He is a smiler and SUCH a mama's boy already! I not-so-secretly love it more than I could ever tell anyone! Especially with Lynden being such a daddy's girl!
When I first got pregnant with Lynden, Dan and I decided that it would be best for our family if I stayed home to take care of her. It was hard for me to leave my job because A- I really loved it, and B- I like to be doing things. Every job I've had I work my butt off to be my best and have had many promotions. My first really job in high school was at a store in the Mall of America, I got promoted twice within 5 months of working there and became the Asst. Manager of the store. When I was in my early twenties I worked at Gold's Gym Corporate in Utah and there were always insentives going on to see who could bring in the most money that month by getting people to pay off their gym memberships. As far as I can remember I won everyone and held records for bringing in the most money in month, and in a day.
I knew that being a mom would be so rewarding but knew I needed to do things on the side to help me, be me. So, shortly after Lynden was born I started an Etsy shop with my sister. It did very well and I started making these wraps for newborn photo shoots. I would (and still do) run deals on different deal sites, such as Jane.com and Groopdealz.com. Over the past year I have sold thousands of these wraps. My sister is now about to have her third baby and is slowing leaving our Etsy shop. I completely understand but decided I needed to do something else on my own as well. So I started an Instagram page a few weeks ago, highlighting other handmade and small shops and sharing our favorite finds with other mamas! I LOVE shopping and dressing up my kiddos so this has been very fun for me! I knew to make it as successful as possible I should probably start a blog! I have never been much of a blogger so you will have to bear with me as I embark this journey as a newbie blogger! ;)
I am so grateful for all of the support I have received thus far. I am running my first giveaway starting this Wednesday with some amazing mama's and their darling shops! I hope to help them succeed even more and help others find some amazing things along the way! :)
